February 2015

February 28th: Given that there aren't really many pictures Dad shouldn't get too much credit for getting it done on time this month...

Once again, I have all this space and nothing to say.

I'm sure there must be some hilarious anecdote that I could share about Lucie or about Buttercup, but I can't remember anything... Maybe I need to work on this throughout the month rather than waiting until the end.

Anyway, it has been another month and we celebrated another Harry Day (Valentine's Day to the rest of the world, and we're probably not going to get everyone to celebrate Elmonzo Valentino, but we'll keep trying) with stuffed animals and a super hero quilt for the kids at Doernbecher's and Lucie road in a B.E.A.T. horse show.

Otherwise, work has been work, the weather has been really weird, and I have been really slow making progress on Caroline's sewing table. Hopefully I really will be able to finish it before Caroline gets completely fed up. I keep telling her it will be great but I don't think she believes me.

I guess the best I can do is leave you with this from the Old Farmer's Almanac: "Groundhog found fog. New snows and blue toes. Fine and dandy for Valentine candy. Snow spittin'; if you're not mitten-smitten, you'll be frostbitten! By jing-y feels spring-y."

No, this really isn't from February. It is actually Bebe from December... 1946! We've been working on Buttercup's Rally skills. And by we, of course I mean Mom and I (and mostly Mom...) Dad keeps telling me I'm going to regret these later in life, but who doesn't love this look!? Or this one which is even more charming with the low angle selfie look...
We managed to collect just a few stuffed animals for Harry's birthday (with thanks to Maggie and Mark and Melinda and her lunch friends) Even Buttercup wanted to get involved in giving for Harry (but we wanted to keep her so we didn't take her to the hospital.) I rode in a horse show on Harry's birthday too... Dad says I'm starting to look more grown up, but I don't know what he's talking about.
But at least you can count on Dad to play with Photoshop (or - Here I am riding at warp speed!) Quinn went to the show too but that was mostly to see all the animals (especially the barn cats) I keep hoping for snow, but given that everything is already in bloom it probably won't happen Dad finally cleaned out the water feature and turned everything back on since it is already sunny and warm
Harry's smiles didn't start right away... But he always shared his cake... And he showed grace when dealing with the rest of us. Harry was also happy with whatever he got for his birthday...
And he was a trend setter with his blue glasses. We miss you, Harry.
