April 2014

April 30th: Spring is in the air - everywhere I look around - Spring is in the air - every sight and every sound...

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent... a dream deeply rooted in the American dream – one day this nation will rise up and live up to its creed... And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.

What?

Just checking to see if anyone actually read this section.

Anyway, I don't actually have much to say (again) this month. Time keeps flying by and another month is gone. Or, should I say "ah... April... time to pay the taxes." Yes, it is true that spring time is here and we got to celebrate Easter and this year Bebe and TC came to visit in April, but really what could be more exciting than the annual visit from the IRS? Maybe in May I can poke shar sticks in my eyes...

But enough ranting from me. Kind of light on the pictures this month. I could have included a few more flowers or pictures of the back of Lucie's head as she found Easter eggs, but that probably wouldn't have done it for you, so you'll have to make do with these.

See you next month.

Dad made some crack about "at least a photo doesn't have sound..." It is Spring time, so Dad has to be "artsy" with the camera. Another picture that makes you think it must be sunny and warm in Oregon this time of year. And yet another picture of the great outdoors - we need more pictures of me!
Well, this one isn't of me... but it is by me - I got up early and went outside and took pictures at the crack of dawn. Later I showed Bebe and TC my garden. And don't tell me you need wind to fly a kite! I'll just prove to you that you just need to keep running instead. Mom went dog fishing again - I don't know know how to tell her that she just keeps catching the same one!
You will note who wouldn't sit still for a picture and who controlled the camera during this silly game... It doesn't matter how many effects Dad uses in Photoshop - these still look like some seriously questionable jelly beans... Everybody got in on the egg hunt - the Easter Bunny did a good job this year and kept the eggs away from Buttercup Buttercup was a good sport though and let us torture her with her own Easter Doggy costume
Then we "hid" eggs for her to find too! And, of course, we had to have a whole bunch of our own hunts, including several rounds outside as well as in.
