October 2010

October 31st: October was a busy month... back to work, a trip to the Pumpkin Patch, Lucie's birthday, a visit with Gran and Mad Dog, and Halloween!

Don't talk to me before I've had my coffee... oh wait - I don't drink coffee... Daddy says I'm going to regret these self portraits one day, but I think they're going to be worth a fortune! I'm the scary cute one in the middle! After a long and arduous train journey, we arrived at the fabled Pumpkin Patch...
The selection this year was not all we had hoped, but as you'll see later, we were successful in finding a couple of beauts! After selecting our pumpkins, we opted for the perilous boat trip home... Some nice person took a picture for us, so both Mommy and Daddy could be in the same picture... Finally, it was time for my birthday!  I started the celebration early, going all out with a Pop Tart for breakfast...
I don't know that Elvis ever wore pink, but the animals don't know one way or the other! This is right after I got on my new bike, before I crashed... I'm getting better though I haven't had much time to practice between rain drops... Here you can see more of my birthday haul. Daddy didn't like my new vest, but I do, and so did all the random people that commented on it right away when we went out to lunch.
Yes, I did want a saxophone and microprocessors on my birthday cake... who wouldn't?! You'll never guess what I'm going to be for Halloween! Thank God I have short hair! We're Paul & Ringo - the last two Beetles (see the antennae... we're beetles, not beatles, get it?) - how 'bout that Yellow Submarine?  And the Shriner's pirate is pretty nice too...
Mad Dog came to visit! Gran came to visit, too! I had my last soccer game of the season, but Daddy didn't take pictures, so you can see my bat rings instead... We didn't cut up my pumpkin... we just decorated the outside to look like me!
I guess you don't want to upset Mad Dog! Seriously though - look at how cool my pumpkin turned out I don't know...  I don't think it looks that much like Lucie... I told you we found a couple of good pumpkins at the Pumkin Patch
I'm sure the Beatles never had to go through as many photo ops as we've had! Here's one more with Mommy's Yellow Submarine as a back drop - you won't be seeing this one as your Christmas card! Oh yeah... we really had fun getting ready for Halloween... I just wish Mommy and Daddy had tried to take a few more pictures! I don't care what anyone says... I nailed my part!
